ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Michael, and I am an experienced mathematics educator with more than a decade of high school teaching experience. I hold a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a California teaching credential, and I have taught and tutored students across a wide range of mathematical levels and learning needs.
I believe mathematics is best learned through interaction, practice, and clear explanation. My goal is not simply to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand the mathematics behind it and develop the confidence to apply what they have learned independently. I adapt my instruction to each student's strengths, needs, and current level of understanding.
Through MikesMathematics, I offer private tutoring, small-group courses, and mathematics instruction for homeschool and independent-study students. Instruction is available online using an interactive digital whiteboard, allowing students to work through mathematics with me in real time.
